Covington -- Mrs. Bessie Ann Summers, 82, died at 2 a.m. yesterday Jan 1, 1968 at the home of a son south of Covington. Born July 3, 1885 in Tenn, she was the daughter of Edward and Melinda Brown Smith. In December 1909 she married William E. Summers of Kingman Route 3 who survives. A member of W. Liberty Church of Christ, she had lived most of her life in Fountain County. Other survivors include 3 sons; Paul of Covington Rt 3; Harold of Veedersburg Rt 3 and Gerald of Kingman Rt 2; a sister, Mrs. Etta Penner of Waynetown; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers and 3 sisters. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wed at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, Covington with Rev. Alfred Dobbs and Rev. Dale Mckinley officiating. Friends may call this afternoon and evening at the funeral home. - kbz
